Get Paid to Make Horsepower Look Good

Sexton & Co. is a performance marketing agency for brands that run on race gas: automotive performance, aftermarket parts, off-road, and powersports. Our clients sell what people want, not what they need. Bigger turbos. Louder exhausts. Long-travel suspension. Bikes that absolutely rip.

We engineer revenue for those brands, and a lot of it starts with organic content. This seat is where that content gets made.

If your camera roll is 40% other people’s builds, you read forum threads for fun, and you have strong opinions about wheel fitment, keep reading.

The Role

You’ll work directly with our Editorial Director and Senior Social Media Coordinator, the two people driving content strategy and production across our client accounts and the Sexton & Co. brand. You report to the Editorial Director. Your job is to take work off their plates: building, editing, scheduling, and posting content across multiple client accounts so it goes out on time and on brand, every time.

You’ll also feed our Media Buyer. Your best organic posts become paid ads, so what you make here does double duty: it builds the audience and it sells the parts.

This is an entry-level seat with a real growth track. Advancement here isn’t about how long you’ve been around. It’s about what you learn, the skills you build, and the value you bring. Grow into the next role and you move into it, with the pay to match.

What You'll Do

Execute the plan

  • Build posts from approved content plans: Reels, carousels, graphics, photo posts, and Stories
  • Work with our video editor to create Reels from client footage, shop clips, and event content, and own the final output before it posts
  • Write captions in each brand’s voice that sound like an enthusiast wrote them, not a marketing department
  • Post Stories daily on every assigned account

Stay ahead of the clock

  • Own the Loomly calendar for your accounts: load every post with its assets, captions, and platform details, and make sure it publishes on time and looks right on every platform
  • Manage client approvals in Loomly: respond to client comments and feedback quickly, make the revisions, and flag anything that changes the plan to the Editorial Director
  • Keep a 7-day buffer of approved, scheduled content on every account
  • Keep assets, drafts, and files organized so anyone on the team can see what’s going out next

Multiply what works

  • Use our AI workflows to turn one strong piece of content into several: new hooks, caption variations, carousels, Story frames
  • Flag your top organic performers each week so the Media Buyer can test them as paid ads

Read the numbers

  • Track reach, saves, shares, profile visits, and link clicks on your accounts
  • Bring a short weekly report to the Editorial Director: what worked, what flopped, and one idea worth testing

Keep leveling up

  • Complete onboarding, required reading, and skills reviews
  • Show up ready for weekly coaching and monthly planning
  • Stay current on platform features, formats, and trends without being told to

What Winning Looks Like

You’re winning when the Editorial Director never has to chase you and the content goes out right the first time. These are the numbers you’ll be reviewed on:

  • Approved plan posts published on schedule: 100%
  • Stories posted on every assigned account: Daily
  • Scheduled content buffer on every account: 7+ days
  • Posts approved without major revisions: 80%+
  • Tasks delivered on time: 95%+
  • Top performers flagged for paid testing: Weekly
  • Performance report delivered: Weekly

By day 90: you’re fully trained on our content system, running your assigned client accounts plus the Sexton & Co. brand on your own, and holding the 7-day buffer.

What You Bring

Must-Haves

  • 6 to 18 months of social content creation experience (internships and freelance work count)
  • Short-form video editing skills in CapCut, Adobe Express, Premiere Rush, or similar
  • Comfortable in Canva (or similar) for graphics and carousels
  • Captions that are clean, clear, and don’t need heavy editing
  • Hands-on with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude, and hungry to get better with them. AI runs through everything we do, and you’ll learn our workflows here
  • A real interest in performance, engines, racing, off-road, or powersports
  • Reliable and fast: deadlines are deadlines
  • Coachable, curious, and good with feedback
  • Able to work in-office in Lithia, FL (this is not a remote role)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience managing multiple brand accounts at once
  • Experience working from a content calendar or brand guidelines
  • Experience using AI for content work: caption drafts, hook ideas, research, repurposing
  • Time spent in enthusiast communities: forums, Facebook groups, build threads, creator pages
  • Comfortable shooting content on a phone at shops, shows, and events

Our core values

Ownership, Ingenuity, Client-Wins, Excellence, Drive, Transparency. We hire for them, review for them, and promote for them.

You'll fit here if you

  • Show up on time and prepared, every day
  • Ask questions instead of guessing and disappearing
  • Want your content to beat last week’s numbers
  • Own mistakes, fix them, and move on

Pay, Schedule, and Growth

  • Pay: $36,000 to $40,000 per year, based on experience and demonstrated skill
  • Incentive Pay: Up to 10% of annual salary, paid monthly when you’re eligible and hit set performance metrics
  • Type: Full-time, hourly (non-exempt), in-person
  • Location: Lithia, FL (Tampa Bay area)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, about 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM ET (+ some events)

Benefits

  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Weekly coaching and professional development
  • Chances to create content at races, shows, and industry events like PRI and SEMA

Where this goes

Jr. Social Media Coordinator, then Social Media Coordinator (Sr.), then Social Media Manager. Each step up comes with a pay bump, and you earn it by what you know, what you can do, and the value you bring to the team. Not by the calendar.

How to apply

Send your resume plus links to 3 to 5 pieces of social content you made. Bonus points if one of them has an engine in it.
